Does it disturb you to know that when the clock strikes five and your biological clock is set to unwind, that you’ll have to set the snooze for booze and cigarettes until your odometer advances 55 miles to the nearest smoker-friendly establishment? I heartily sympathize with the rights of lungs young and old, whose preference is to avoid the toxicity of smoking atmospheres, but what does it say about a society when with every changing trend there is always a group that’s alienated? Why do all trends have to reach the point of fanaticism? Doesn’t democracy allow us some variation in preference and representation of that preference? Is this civilazied society or herd mentality? 
 
Here in the city of memphis there are so few choices for those who say smoking please!!  I would like live within the community i chose, not to journey into exile to have the right to enjoy ordinary pleasures such as smoking, drinking and conversation.
